2.8.5 Begin Stage Initialization
• Select Stage > Initialize.
Note: Various axes of motion move to home positions (Zoom, Focus, and Z axes)
during initialization. The control screen displays a status panel to guide the user
through the initialization process (see Figure 2.8e).

2.8.6 Software Power-up Checklist
______ 1. Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE.
______ 2. Log on using your user name and password.
______ 3. Start the NanoScope software.
______ 4. Select Realtime.
______ 5. Begin stage initialization if necessary.
