l Operator— Select an operator for matching the string.

l String— Enter the string to match.

l VLAN— Enter the VLAN to be assigned.

4. Click OK.

5. Ensure that all other required parameters are configured.

6. Click Finish to apply the changes.

To create a VLAN assignment rule for WLAN SSID:

(Instant Access Point)(config)# wlan ssid-profile <SSID-Name>

(Instant Access Point)(SSID Profile <name>)# set-vlan <attribute>{equals|not-equals|starts-

with|ends-with|contains}<operator><VLAN-ID>|value-of}

(Instant Access Point)(SSID Profile <name>)# end

Creating a User VLAN Role

You can create a user role for VLAN derivation using the Instant UI or CLI

In the Instant UI

To configure a user role for VLAN derivation:

1. Click the Security at the top right corner of Instant main window.

2. Click Roles tab. The Roles tab contents are displayed.

3. Under Roles, click New.

4. Enter a name for the new role and click OK.
