WHAT WE FOUND
We ran each test three times and report results from the run that produced the median of the three
IOPS results. We calculated the normalized performance for each access specification for each RAID level
tested, in this case RAID 5 and RAID 10.
Figure 8 displays the Mainstream Performance SATA SSD solution and High Performance SAS SSD
solution specific normalized IOPS improvement in performance across RAID 5 over the SAS HDD solution.
