designed for road warriors who
require maximum performance "to go".
Creating a really great business notebook means creating high value solutions in addition to top-notch specifi-
cations. So our new high performance C640 doesn't skimp on the hardware; compared to its predecessor, the
C640 incorporates a faster chipset, faster memory, a new video chipset with significant improvements in 3D
performance, faster hard drives, and higher density batteries. To maximize the value, we maintained
Latitude's legendary C-Series legacy keeping it fully compatible with the entire C-series family of media mod-
ules, batteries, and docking solutions.
Dell Notebooks are the #1 choice of professionals worldwide, and the C600 series is our most popular offer-
ing. If you need a notebook that's designed for maximum performance on the road, you will find the C640 a
perfect fit.
High Performance with the Latest Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M
and new Intel 845MP chipset

chipset. The new chipset supports a 400MHz Processor System Bus (PSB) and up to 1.0GB of PC2100 Double
Data Rate system memory running at 266MHz. Combined with new optional high speed hard disk drives
(5400RPM) and larger 66WHr batteries, this notebook brings new performance levels to mobile computing.
Improved graphics and brilliant color displays
The Latitude C640 features an ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 graphics engine with 4X AGP, and 32MB of
double data rate (DDR) SDRAM video memory. The ATI 7500 chipset delivers outstanding improvements in
3D graphics performance (Up to 110% faster than previous Latitude C610 performance depending on bench-
mark). Choose from a 14.1" XGA (1024 x 768) TFT LCD or an optional high density 14.1" SXGA+ (1400 x
